162. If you could invent something, what would it be, and why? (University of Virginia)

Without a doubt, I would create a flying car. 

I have always wanted to create a car that could fly high above next to the buildings and soar with the birds. To be able to fly in a more convenient manner than a plane would change transportation for the rest of time. The next greatest human invention would be a commercialized flying vehicle.

To be able to drive, or should I say fly, around in an automobile would be more practical and faster way of transportation. The atmosphere up above us yield more space and area to travel around. It would save space on land as fly cars wouldn’t need roads to travel on.

Flying cars would also greatly decrease the time it takes to travel from one point to another. Instead of following the roads that are laid before us, we would be able to take a more direct and straight route to the location be intend on reaching. The amount of time we spend getting around today on the road is very time consuming. Once in the air, the time we save from being able to travel faster would give more time during our day to do other things.

Another reason that I would create a flying car is that I have always wanted to drive and fly an airplane. By making a flying car, I would be able to combine those two elements into one machine. To be able to take hover in the air in a car would be an amazing feeling and achievement. This machinery would change the world as it becomes used and adapted into many different situations. The ways such technology could be used is endless and could help us in the future development of our worlds.
